Tom Burakowski

Sonic Reiki Practitioner, Numerology Blogger

Thomas Burakowski is married to Linda Sylvester. He is also a Sonic Reiki practitioner. He was not always married to Linda nor was he always a Sonic reiki practitioner. In the late summer of 1972, Tom returned home from 2 years in the Peace Corps. His great fortune was that he was able to be in the Peace Corps during the Vietnam War essentially serving his “alternate service.”

His Peace Corps service was working with young Teacher’s College graduates employed in the newly built Junior Secondary Schools of Jamaica. This background of teaching and consulting along with his sociology studies gave him the opportunity to be hired in an Outreach program for young people in western New York. The program was an attempt to reach out to high school age students with drug and alcohol problems. The country and the culture were going through tremendous upheaval and it was reflected in the young people as well as adults. The outreach workers were put into situations that were very challenging and demanded the best training available.

The mental health department saw a need and provided additional workshops and consulting to their counselors. The senior advisors were very helpful to the outreach workers. At the time, Tom was overwhelmed with the situation and felt ineffective. He chose to leave the outreach world and apprentice with an old fashion shoemaker from Europe. He chose a very different way to assist people in repairing their sole. He has had a masterful career during which he served as treasurer, vice president and then president of the Western New York Shoe Repair Association. This provided Tom with that community of like minded associates for support and inspiration.

That network worked for Tom then and he feels it will work today when so many energy practitioners are being asked to assist people in an ever changing world. Tom feels that he finally has tools that will benefit all in raising consciousness. Besides being a Sonic Reiki practitioner and working alongside Linda, his twinflame, Tom writes on numerology for their blog and for the WIN blog.
