April showers bring May spiritual insights and opportunities. Oh, what a beautiful spring we are beginning to experience. May is full of significant numerology and international days of celebration. 5/5 is known as Cinco D’mayo, 5/12 is Mother’s Day, and 5/27 is Memorial day. All three of these remember and honor our ancestors. Hopefully, we will all find a personal way to acknowledge and express gratitude for what has been given to us.
In numerology, May is the fifth month. The 5 represents freedom on a deep level, and this month, we will see a number of ways this plays out. The five can contain 1+4= 5, or 2+3=5. On May 5th, May 14th, and May 23, we will see the date as 5/5/2024 or 5/5/8. These days will hold high frequencies for freedom, transformation, and abundance. Much of these energies are built on last month’s Total Solar Eclipse, the precursor of transformative energy everywhere.
As many of you know, Buffalo, N.Y., was one of the many cities on the path of totality. Linda and I could see glimpses of the transition to totality through the openings in a cloudy sky. The most profound moment for us was the transition to darkness. It was so sudden. The birds, who had been chirping up a storm, went silent. Linda reports that the birds sang throughout the event. (the event was all-inclusive, yet personal). Before the darkness, I experienced a deep grey cloud wrapped around the sky before me. We stood on our second-story porch, elevated, at treetop level, and were in awe at the phenomenon of the absence of light. A wonderful customer at my shoemaker shop shared her story. Her family came into town from Maine. They all went to the lake (Erie) and gathered on the beach with nearly 200 others. She said they all cheered when the clouds opened for a brief glimpse of the phenomenon, and all went silent when they experienced the depth of the darkness. The most remarkable part of her story was that they all agreed that the Lake also went still and silent.
Other customers at my shop reported various experiences, from “no big deal” to “it sure got dark for a while.” I mention this difference in experience to highlight what is happening around us. The world is going through profound changes, and we integrate our insights depending on our level of light and love. This brings me back to freedom.
It is also a time of liberation from energies that have held us back in some form of restriction. Days like 5/1, 5/5, 5/14, 5/23, all hold radiant energy to shine a light on these chains holding us from blossoming into the being we hold deep within us. This is a time for transformation. Be open to it from within. There is a great deal of support for this kind of growth in May. This month, Mercury will go direct and no longer be in retrograde. Mercury is said to be the Messenger of the Gods, providing insights and stimulating our intuition.
On May 28th, 5/28/2024, the Sun will align with the Royal star, Aldebaran. This creates a very high-frequency portal called the Silver-Gate Portal. It increases our mental acuity and intuition and opens a time for deep reflection on our Soul’s Purpose.
