AHA! We made it to March. I am looking forward to spring in a big way. It has actually been a weird winter here in WNY, only two significant storms that lasted for a couple of days and cold, damp, chilling days after. So, I hope the groundhog is right that spring is just around the corner. So let’s begin with March being the third month (3), which is all about communication, and this month begins the Equinox/Eclipse season.
There are several key dates to watch for; 3/3/24, 3/12/24, 3/21/24, and 3/30/24. They all hold the master number 33, focusing our attention on mastering the art of communication. These days, may I suggest sitting in meditation and holding your hands in your lap in a yoga “mudra” position? A mudra is a gesture the yogis use to initiate energy flow within the body. By touching the tips of all your fingers and thumbs together, like you are holding a bubble in your hands, you enhance the connection between the left and right sides of your brain.
The left hemisphere is considered logical, analytic, scientific, and technical, while the right is connected to creativity, intuition, holistic thinking, and the metaphysical. There is a connective tissue between the hemispheres called the corpus callosum. This meditation and mudra is believed to enhance this connection, resulting in an evolved and balanced person.

On February 28, Sun and Saturn came together and brought up karmic issues because Saturn is the great Karmic teacher. These issues are not easy to deal with, especially feelings of loss of power. March begins a time of balancing upper and lower chakras and mind and body.
March 19/20 is the Astrological New Year, the Spring Equinox. It is the time of renewal, rebirth, the initiation of new projects, and even planting new seeds. While preparing them for sprouting, plant your intentions for the new year on this day and celebrate the energy of seeds holding the impulse to burst forth.
Shortly after the equinox, on March 24-25, is the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse, a time of transformative energy. It can be intense; the moon can reflect situations we want to avoid. You might be surprised that someone is being “eclipsed” from your life. We must discern that it is no longer for our higher purpose to be in that relationship or activity. We have most likely transitioned and grown. The Universe is working for us if we tune in. Letting go is a way to make room for the new.
When we grow, create anew, accept challenges, and initiate our dreams, the benefit is to the wholeness of who we are. We represent the collective consciousness of humanity on this earth. Sending lots of Love to the Oneness!
