Happy New Year everyone. May we all resonate with the number eight. 2+0+2+4 =8; last year was a 7, and this year, the eight vibrates to prosperity, good fortune, and the infinite flow of energy for our benefit. I have always seen the eight as four above and four below. When turned on its side, the eight is the infinity symbol; when it is upright, and the crossover is in the middle, it suggests a balance between the heavenly above and the earthly below. Remember that the fours represent our heart chakra, and as long as we focus on our heartfelt energy and impulses, we can feel this infinite flow.
Throughout this astrological year, we will be experiencing challenging situations that will demand focus and decision-making. We must be aware of our center. Ask yourself, am I coming from my heart or head, or a lower frequency? Pluto will be showing its force and be from the underworld. Balance is the key to the spiritual and physical that nurtures our good fortune.
Last year,2023, was a 7-year focused on spirituality. This year is the movement from the imagined to the physical. The heart energy holds the structure and foundation to build this new reality. We could see new developments in technology and communication and the breakthrough in their integration.
In 2023, we did a lot of soul-searching and deep meditation. It was intense for many of us, and I would like to share a story to illustrate that idea. We all have a story. Many of us tell the story from the point of view of our issues, myself included. One beautiful afternoon, Linda and I were having lunch with friends, and I shared that I concluded that the stories we tell are issue-oriented, and I wanted to make a shift within me that didn’t reflect my stuff so much. One dear friend asked me if I could picture myself without these issues. I held onto that question for a couple of days. I shared that question with another friend who said, “Well then, you might not have a story any longer.” That was an interesting comment because we will always have a story or no longer be alive. There are times when the story is quite intense. We know that our inner and outer worlds reflect one another. What is happening out there can reflect what is happening inside of us. One can be stronger than the other, but they still remember.
Linda and I carried this question forward, and she observed that stepping into a place free of issues brings a person into the present moment, and from this vantage point, we create our future. We will always have a story. The story can change and take on a different tone depending on how much karma we have dealt with.
This is not to say we have no further business with our past, but it shifts the focus. I could see that telling the story repeatedly re-creates the story and disregards the healing work we have done over time. ( One time, in a meditation, my inner child “Tommy” spoke to me and said, “Tom, I don’t feel that way anymore.”) Whoa, let it go, Tom, and embrace the healing.
We are CO-Creators of our future and our reality. The more we work on resolving our issues, the less karma we will have to deal with.
2024 allows for a great deal of extraordinary energy, but if a person is still loaded with karma, they will have to deal with it.
On Jan. 1/2024, Mercury will come out of retrograde, and there will be positive movement, especially in communication.
I want to think of myself, free of a lifetime of issues and karma, moving to a place of abundance and prosperity, knowing that we can all deal with anything that surfaces as long as we come from our hearts. Kindness is essential in dealing with others and ourselves. There is a marvelous power in the heart center, free of judgment and guilt.
