Welcome to September, the ninth month. Nine holds the energy of completion, resolution, and transformation leading to a new beginning. There are numerologists who see nine (9) as primarily a new beginning. We need the experience of resolution before we can experience the new start. Otherwise, we are perpetuating the old issues and carrying them forward. Instead of spiraling to higher ground, the old baggage is keeping us in the vicious cycle of repetition, “same old, same old story”. However, there is a very powerful energy of newness on 9/6-9/7. It is the Virgo new moon. The night sky is dark, turning our energies inward. It is a great time to reflect, possibly changing our point of view.
Generally, point of view is represented by the number 3. Keep in mind 9 is composed of multiples of 3s. 3+3+3 or 3×3=9. In order to fully utilize the frequency of resolution held by the nine ( 9), we can reflect on how point of view can significantly alter our perspective.
As a Leo, I tend to focus on my positive attributes. (No surprise there!) Last month during the Lionsgate energy, I was clearly shown patterns in my behavior that were not all that complimentary. Hum. The moments of reflection where it was so clear to me that I had been denying became a fresh point of view to self- awareness. It reminded me of an intimate moment between my Dad and me before he passed away recently. I apologized to him, and he said, “No need to apologize, just stop doing that”. Whoa! OK, I can do that. Thank you, Dad.
As more and more perspective was gained during the Lionsgate energy of August, I found the best way to enter this September energy was to simply accept the insights. The shift in perspective from denial to acceptance is huge. Try it. You might like it! The new moon in Virgo will provide additional time to reflect and gain even further insight. Also, the time to resolve issues. Let’s keep in mind that to truly resolve something we must be free of judgment, especially of ourselves. The Virgo new moon has the benefit of assisting us in grounding. It is a stabilizing force. Many of us will go very deep in the resolution energy and notice that we are dealing with issues that affected our ancestors. This is a great gift. To be able to resolve something held in our DNA/RNA for a long time. This is what is happening in the new earth energy. We are being called upon to move humanity forward by dealing with long- held beliefs that no longer serve the greatest good. Sometimes it is simply by being who you have become. For many years, my goal was to be known as Tom the shoemaker. Fine, been there done that. As I resolved issues in my life, I became Tom the Numerologist and Tom the Sonic Reiki practitioner. The benefit of completing and transforming issues in our history is that we create room to expand our identity. Here is an example of what I mean by just being who you have become.
Many of you know that for many years, my “day job” is as a shoemaker. Recently, an older woman walks in to the entryway, pauses and marvels at the bouquet of wildflowers near the door. Only a few people notice them, I love the beauty they hold in that space. She bubbles into the shop and I notice the ill-fitting wig that seems inconsistent with her radiance. She speaks in an accent. She tells me she grew up in Spain, can I repair her favorite Spanish- made dancing shoes for an upcoming wedding. I love her presence, there is an instant connection. It feels so good to be in the shop. She feels at home. She hasn’t felt this good in a long time. She shares that she is going through chemo for thyroid, lymphatic and bone cancer. I tell her that she has such a beautiful radiance of spirit that on some level she is free of this cancer. She wholeheartedly agrees with me. I mention that my wife Linda Sylvester is a truly gifted spiritual healer and she has taught healing techniques to assist at times like these. She is exuberant. In Spain we have many healers. Wait a moment, she runs out to the car to get her sister. Show us! Her sister is dumbfounded. You came in to get your shoes repaired. As you know, our thyroid and lymphatic system are an essential aspect of our body’s natural immune system for dealing with illness, disease, and viruses. So, I demonstrate. We take our right hand and cross over our throat to the left side of our neck. We place four fingertips on the throat and state our intention to send love and healing energy to the structure and function of our thyroid for our highest possibility while toning the vowel sound of eeee. I explain that the sound balances energy that creates “dis-ease”. The three of us tone eee together, three times. Then we shift to the left hand, crossover to the right side of the throat, state our intent again and tone together. We pause for a moment, and she says what about the lymphatic? I sense that we need a pause while their bodies process this energy. So, I explain the next exercise. Take our left hand and place the palm on the back of our neck. Take our right hand and tuck it under our left armpit. State a similar .intent , to send divine healing to our lymphatic system, particularly our spleen ,aligned to our highest possibility ,now, thank you, thank you, thank you. All the while toning eee three times. Then hold the hands in this position for at least three minutes. If you need to, lean back in a chair and support yourself with pillows. I tell them, it is most effective when we do this three times a day for 28 days straight.
The women made notes, both were educators, and when we realized that others were waiting to come into the shop, we agreed to visit further when she came to pick up her dancing shoes. It was a pleasure to work on her shoes and to visit with the two women. I learned more about them when she came back and was thrilled to hear her say that she believed that we all hold the energy of the universe within us, and she was grateful for a tool to access our innate power.
I feel that moments like this are truly Divine. My intent is to align myself to this energy every day. Linda has generously provided a link to align us to the 999 frequency. It is possible because we have resolved, completed and transformed issues that have been stagnant for a long time. Thank you Linda.
There is much more to September than just this. On the 22nd is the equinox. It is the turning point from summer to Autumn. We need to pay attention to this shift. October promises to be dynamic and demand a lot of attention. For now we do well to go within once again, reflect on what we have accomplished, who we have become and use our gifts for the highest benefit to all.
