August is here. It is the eighth month and a significant day to watch for is 8/8. It is called the Lionsgate. It involves, once again, the blue star Sirius. The sun is in Leo and on this day each year the star Sirius is in alignment with the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx. It is believed by ancient cultures that the Lionsgate opens a portal for the flow of galactic knowledge and spiritual insight for us on this physical plane.
Eight holds the energy of prosperity and abundance. It is also the infinity symbol signifying an infinite flow of good fortune and prosperity. The symbol itself has a crossover point dividing the eight into 4&4. Four above, the heavenly and four below, the physical. Four is also the heart chakra. When we align our heart to the heavenly and the earthly aspect of ourselves, we truly open ourselves to the infinite flow of good fortune in our life. Heartfelt intention and focus are a guarantee of success.
When the sun is in Leo, our physical bodies are being fed and nurtured by the sun’s solar energy. Sirius, as the next brightest light in the heavens, is said to be the sun feeding our soul. The Lionsgate is this very powerful portal facilitating galactic knowledge flowing to our soul, feeding, nourishing and awakening aspects of our being that have been dormant or only partially activated.
A quick story: For many years science has referred to some of our DNA, as “junk DNA”.
Here’s the story. My Dad lived to be 98 years old. He experienced several mini strokes. He recovered each time but my perception of him was that he was spending more time transitioning to the spiritual realm than the physical. In one of our many conversations toward the end of his life, he said to me, “Tom, God does not have a junk yard. Everything that is created is good and it works.” I took that to mean that there is no such thing as junk DNA. It is simply DNA that has not been activated. I have a feeling that the Sirian energy was already working through my Dad,saying Tom pay attention here.
The Lionsgate is an opportunity to reclaim and activate the multidimensional aspect of our soul being expressed in this physical realm. August eighth (8/8) is the most powerful day in the Lionsgate. However, 8/17 and 8/26 also resonate to 8/8. We are already experiencing this beautiful energy and will continue to feel it throughout the month. It is very important for us to make time to reflect, meditate, focus on our breathing and create opportunities to welcome this galactic awakening to take place. Many of us are already awake and it promises insights affecting a whole new level of perception and understanding. One evening , in the Peace Corps, I sat with a handful of men and talking about the reality of being a poor “man- of-color” in the U.S. One of my friends spoke up and exclaimed, Mister Tom, ”you no unnerstand, you overstand”. This is what is possible for us in this Lionsgate. It can be more than an understanding. It can be a great expansion to our point of view. Have you noticed and perhaps felt a great deal of anxiety at this time. Many people are feeling this. It is a time of transition and even breakdown of systems that no longer serve our higher purpose. I will remind you of a very helpful remedy I have mentioned previously for anxiety. There is a Bach flower remedy specifically for anxiety, namely Mimulus. It works. If you have any issues with alcohol, there is a trace of it in the remedy to stabilize it. As an alternative, try this to alleviate the slight nausea that anxiety can cause. Place your right hand on your navel and tone the vowel sound of “eeeee”. EEEEE balances energy in our body. We have two triangles of energy, like an hour glass, with the center point at the navel. When we start to worry or get fearful, our lower chakras spin at a different rate than the upper ones. The toning of EEEE helps to balance this energy. This also helps with morning sickness in pregnant women. The fetus actually slows down the lower triangle and toning restores the balance. Please share this with the expectant mothers.
As the Lions gate energy comes in, those who are open and aligned to receiving this energy can feel a sense empowerment and freedom. This is equally enhanced because we are in a Five year. 2021 is 2+0+2+1=5. The five represents freedom and magnified creativity. This is a good month to feed those dreams and even see how to shift the direction for a project that is stuck.
Most of all I remind us that we are meant to enjoy this beauty all around us. Have fun and by all means give thanks and express gratitude for all of this good fortune. Expressing gratitude is essential to nurturing the flow.
